THERE IS HELP FOR ADDICTION, EMOTIONAL PAIN, AND TRAUMA

Mission: To assist you in maneuvering through difficult times. To help you find ways of remaining true to yourself and true to your own goals while connecting to others. To offer tools to move you forward into change and growth when and if it is right for you. And to build a safe, equal and honest relationship with you that becomes the knowledge base for you to build other mature relationships outside of therapy.

Therapy can be one of the steps in making changes to your life and your relationships. It is a dynamic process involving a relationship between the therapist and the client. (The client can be a couple and a family.) I believe it can work only as a collaborative effort.

The process of therapy begins with helping you define what isn’t working and causing you pain. We then focus on establishing the goals that would be helpful and are right for you. We tailor the therapy to meet your needs and reach those goals. Side benefits to therapy can include becoming empowered through self-discovery, learning new tools of communication, understanding self-nurturance and gaining internal balance.

I work with Individuals, Couples and Children. My approaches and therapeutic background include Bowen Family Systems, Jungian Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Children’s Play Therapy.

I am trained in EMDR, Trauma Incident Debriefing, Women’s Issues, Play therapy, Affect Management and Anger Management, and Relaxation techniques including Guided Imagery. I have experience working with Children, Women’s various Issues, Gay and Lesbian Issues, Grief/Loss, Anxiety/Depression, Addictions, Domestic Violence, Anger Management and people who Self-Harm.

Together we can enhance your personal growth, improve your relationships and assist you in meeting life’s challenges with skill, confidence, coping mechanisms and maturity.
